Hybrid bluegill are created by crossing a male bluegill with a female green sun fish. The offspring produce nearly all males so they won't reproduce and overtake your pond.
Hybrids have a thicker body than regular bluegills and are more colorful.
Hyrbid bluegills grow faster than regular bluegills and can grow 1/4 to 1/2 lb per year.
They can be stocked at a rate of 1000 or more per acre.
These fish will take pellet feed, eat insects and other natural pond food.
