Bass aren't very active when the water is below 50F so they begin spawning in late May when the water temperature raises. They can each a size of 3-4 inches by 60 days from hatching. This is why most of our bass are available in July when the bass have grown.
In a pond with good food supply and water temperature a Bass can grow up to 8 inches in the first year of stocking and be nearly half a pound.
The bass we sell came from Texas and are only raised from that Texas stock. They are similar to Indiana bass but their pattern includes a few more speckles and tend to grow faster. They are trained to eat feed but will go back to their instincts eating the above mentioned food when placed in a pond.
Normally the only largemouth size sold is 2 inches. These bass would be great for new ponds or to give life to an older pond a new breeding stock of bass.
