Lotus & Planned Giving
By including a charitable gift to the Lotus Education & Arts Foundation in your estate planning, you can help Lotus continue to offer its life-affirming programming for future generations.
- A planned gift to Lotus included as part of your future financial affairs can also offer considerable tax advantages to both you and your heirs.
- Such gifts can take many forms, including bequests, beneficiary designations from retirement plans or insurance policies, appreciated assets, and more.
- Give a lasting gift that expresses your commitment to building cultural understanding and tolerance in our community. We are happy to work with you and your tax advisor to design a planned gift to Lotus that is right for you.
- We thank you for considering leaving a gift in your Will toward the long term support of its mission: To create opportunities to celebrate, experience, and explore the diversity of the world’s cultures through music and the arts. Below is the suggested wording for you to take to your solicitor when writing your Will; simply fill in the appropriate details:
"I bequeath to the Lotus Education & Arts Foundation, Inc., an Indiana non-profit corporation with its principal office currently at 103 N College Ave, Bloomington, Indiana, [and the specified program, if appropriate] for the purpose of fostering cultural understanding and tolerance in our community [a specified sum, or specified items, or the residue of my estate] free of all duties, and the receipt of the Secretary or other authorized officer of the Lotus Foundation for the time being shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the executor(s)”.
