The Eiffel Tower, Paris's most famous landmark. It was built by Gustave Eiffel for the World Exhibition in 1889.
A view of the Seine from the top of the Eiffel Tower. The top of the tower provided a magnificient view of the entire city.
The Arc de Triomphe was planned by Napoleon but not finished until 15 years after his death. The arch is decorated with some beautiful sculptures. France's Unknown Soldier is buried beneath the archway.
A view of the backside of Notre-Dame. Unfortunately, most of the front was covered by scaffolding. The stained glass windows were something to see. The gargoyles and gothic style made it a place I am not sure I would like to be when the lights go out.
I heard the Lourve was big, but until you see it, you don't realize just how big. I think it would take a week to see everything. The Louvre was the first place we visited. Unfortunately, our time was cut short there due to a 5 hour delay at JFK (ugh!). I did manage to see Mona, Venus, Winged Victory, and many other works of art.
