Lucerne is a beautiful city sitting on a lake with magnificent mountains in the background. The city employs 64 gardeners which explains the flowers everywhere you look.
Many of the buildings were beautifully painted.
This interesting sculpture was a memorial to a company of soldiers who were killed during a battle.
We took the steepest cog railway in the world to the top of Mt. Pilatus which is 7,000 feet high.
The view from the top is breathtaking.
From the top of the mountain, you take a large gondola part way down. From there, you take a smaller gondola that seats four. It was so quiet you could hear the cow bells below.
