A performance on Saturday May 11th, 2002 by the Central Jersey Symphony and Master Chorale under Music Director Robert Briscoe featured Diana Livingston in the primary soprano role. The "Meet the Artist" in that program is quoted as follows:
"Lyric soprano DIANA LIVINGSTON has performed the role of Fiorilla in the Rutgers Opera Company performance of Rossini's II Turco in Italia. In past seasons at Rutgers University, she performed Adele from Die Fledermaus; Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and Musetta in a critically acclaimed production of La Boheme which received the 1995 National Opera Association's Production Award. Opera Orchestra of New York under the direction of Eve Queler provided invaluable experience for Ms. Livingston when she covered the roles of Giulietta in I Capuletti e I Montecchi and Linda di Chamounix. In the same year the American Chamber Opera featured her as Lady Blemley in their New York premiere of Tobermory and Bronx Opera cast her as the First Lady in The Magic Flute. Ms. Livingston completed her Master of Music at Indiana University where she performed in numerous productions including La Finta Giardiniera, L'Elisir d'more, The Cry of Clytaemnestra, Gianni Schicchi, and The Old Maid and the Thief. Her recital and concert repertoire include performances with the Bremen [Germany] Camerata Instrumentale, Haydn's Creation, Orff's Carmina Burana, and the Mad Scene from Lucia di Lammermoor with Central Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Master Chorale, Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Raritan Valley Symphonic Band, and the St. Cecilia Chorus and Chamber Orchestra of New York. Currently residing in California where she is Assistant Professor of Voice at Fresno State University, Ms. Livingston recently completed the Doctor of Musical Arts from Rutgers University. She formerly performed regularly with the Gramercy Arts Ensemble and Young Audiences of New Jersey under the auspices of the Opera Works Program."
