EVELYN BINZ, PIANO LADY ...

Calls herself "Piano Lady," but the press knows there's got to be more - much, much more!
      Great music, a great musician!

"This artist exhibited unusual brilliance, superb technique and extraordinary power." ---Indianapolis, Indiana.

"As a soloist with the Battle Creek Symphony, Evelyn Malouf Binz's technical command for the piano was outstanding. The concerto is an ideal vehicle for her." ---Battle Creek, Michigan.

Her tours of the west coast include:

      Seattle, Washington
      San Fransico, California
      San Diego, California

      In addition, she has toured
      Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Florida.

Ms. Binz has been noted for an outstandingly broad career as a conductor, concerto soloist, recital soloist, duetist, and educator. She is based in Chicago, Illinois, but her career carries her nationwide.

As a concerto soloist she has
      appeared with the:

      Detroit Symphony
      Grosse Pointe Symphony of Michigan
      Battle Creek Symphony of Michigan
      Community Symphony of Chicago
      Northwest Symphony of Chicago
The Chicago Symphonetta (Strings of the CSO)

Her many appearances with orchestras have occurred because of winning contests, especially her extraordinary success in the Indiana Federation of Music Clubs competitions.

Ms. Binz is deservedly acclaimed for her exciting performances of the modern repertoire, especially her readings of the Aram Khachaturian Piano Concerto with the Chicago Orchestra, the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Detroit Symphony, and her NYC Lincoln Center premier of such notoriously difficult works as the Livingston B-minor Sonata for Piano.

Despite her busy concert career she has made time for educating young people in special music projects including the musical direction of various children's theater groups in Evanston and Skokie, Illinois. She currently conducts three choruses that perform in Chicago and outside. These choruses are part of the Evanston Recreation and Parks district as well as the Park Larks group from the Northbrook Park and Recreation Department.

She performs duets as well as two piano works with the noted pianist, Bette Coulson.

She also meets what she feels is a personal obligation to teach a select group of highly talented piano students.
