The Test of Your LIfe
There are three questions
of supreme importance in your life. Knowing the answers to these questions
will bring you peace and happiness if you are ALWAYS conscious of them.
Being conscious of these answers is like being borne on the wings of holy
angels, for holy angels are messengers of God with answers to prayer. Not
knowing the answers to these questions will guarantee that you will “dash
your foot against a stone” (Psalms 91:12) when encountering many of the
problems that come up in your life. I know the answers to all three of
these questions for God gave them to me after much heartache, repentance,
prayer and study.
Knowing and being conscious
of these answers has caused me to “ride on the high places of the earth”
and they can do the same for you, but first, you need to pray and do some
thinking and try to answer the questions for yourself before you see the
answers God gave to me. Bearing in mind that faithful, true, and specific
answers to these most important questions are fundamental to your happiness
and peace of mind, here are the questions:
1. What is the greatest
thing in the world?
2. What is your greatest
problem?
3. What is God's will
for you?
Please don’t do anything
else until you have consciously identified what you think is the greatest
thing in the world and your greatest problem and write the questions and
your answers down. Answer the last question if you can, but there are very
few people who have realized God’s will for their lives. As long as you
live, the last question is the most important question that you will ever
have to answer, and it is a tragic fact that most people do not, and never
will, as long as they live, have a satisfactory answer to this most important
question. Is it not ironic that most people go through life trying to handle
and solve their biggest problems without ever knowing God's will for their
lives?
Knowing the greatest
thing in the world is the key to handling and solving your greatest problem,
and knowing God's will for your life is the key to life everlasting.
It is only by helping
others that we really help ourselves. You can do many things to help others,
but what do you tell them when they need the answers to life's most fundamental
questions and you don't know them? If you encountered many people dying
of thirst would you give them only a glass of water when there is a fountain
of water springing up into everlasting life even in their very midst? We
can't offer to others what we haven't partaken of ourselves and been satisfied
by, can we? Eternal life is involved in these questions and eternal life
begins right now for you if you submit and commit your life to Jesus Christ.
Taste and eat of the Bread of Life and see if He doesn't make a difference
in the health and joy of your life.
