I was born and raised in Monroe County, Indiana. I attended Edgewood High School, where I was a member of the National Honor Society and an All-State football player. I graduated from Indiana University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1988 and Doctor of Optometry in 1993. My wife, Lori, and I reside in Bloomington with our two sons, Jacob and Adam. I am licensed by the state of Indiana and Board Certified in the treatment and management of eye disease.
