Indiana - May 31, 1969.
We routinely promoted our own dances in parking lots, and at the fairgrounds in
Madison, Indiana. Pleased with our success on campus at Purdue University, we decided
to rent the fairgrounds in Lafayette, and put on a dance for the general public. We made
all arrangements for the building, refreshments, etc., through a contact in Lafayette.
Imagine our surprise when we walked into the building to find sawdust on the floor, still
fresh with the fragrance of a previous livestock event.
