ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Campaign for Food for Hungry People is winding down. This year we have collected only $107 rather than several hundred! Please make checks payable to All Saints so that we can send in the total contribution.
Building Loan Update: If you have pledged to the building fund, thank you for your generosity and please continue with your pledge. Our mortgage pay-down date is drawing near!
· Parents of Campers! Have you finalized your May 1st deadline with the Village?
May 10th –next weekend--is the Annual Rummage Sale, Bake Sale, and Gyros Sale. Please bring your donations to the church this week. Baked goods need to be here by Friday afternoon. Friday, May 9th will be the date for setting up! Are you available?
Attention Children: Thank you for the nice manners you showed our guests during Holy Week! But, an added reminder that the lawn is for playing and the parking lot continues to attract children, but we all know that games should not be played there or inside the building. Our children are precious to us. Safety First!
Garden Villa Ministry Group: Stephanie Haines is leading this ministry. Team members will meet the first Monday of each month at 6:00, starting May 5th, in the lobby at Garden Villa (formerly Hospitality House). (September’s date will be the second Monday.) The focus of the team will be visiting with residents who might enjoy some talk and attention. Anyone who is interested must get a TB test and attend an orientation with the activities director. Please contact Stephanie at 812-606-0293 or at stef@kiva.net. She has conducted such activities before and welcomes participants. *
Today’s Coffee Hour has been prepared by Parishioners A-C; Next week Parishioners D-J will serve. Simplifying the coffee hour’s offerings would also simplify clean-up!
Lawn Mowing Challenge: As you have noticed the grass is greening and growing! We challenge the men and women below the age of 40 to step up and offer to mow and not just the men 40 to 69 who usually do the mowing! (The Heil and Ioannides children and their mowing is greatly appreciated too!) Dave Linton, Mark Heil, or the Deacon can get you started. The equipment is here at the church. Thanks!

Today’s Epistle and Gospel Readings
Prokeimenon –“Great is our Lord, and great is His power.”
“Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good.” Psalm 147:5; 135:3
Epistle: Acts 5:12-20 BRETHREN, through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with indignation, and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. But at night an angel of the lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”
Gospel: John 20: 19-31 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be to you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to the, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in His side, I will not believe.” Eight days later, His disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be to you.” Then He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
All Saints Rummage Sale and Bake Sale
Saturday, May 10, 2008
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We at All Saints are inviting men, women and children to help during this annual church event! Help is needed in setting up and pricing items on Friday, May 9th starting at 9:00 a.m. We also need volunteers to work on Saturday to sell and/or to clean up. This is a time of fun mingled with work!
High Quality Items for the Rummage Sale can be brought to the church now through noon on Friday so we will have time to sort through the items, price them, and finish the set-up. We request that no adult clothing be donated. Baby clothes are good sellers. If you are dropping off items at the church, check with Marcia or Fr. Peter Jon to see that the church is open. They will make arrangements with you.
All Baked Goods need to be at the church no later than 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, but preferably by early afternoon on Friday so we can set up. Please include a list of ingredients.
Gyros will be available, starting at 11:00 a.m.
Sign Up Opportunities: There will be sign up sheets at church for people to volunteer their time. You may also leave a message on the answering machine at the church or tell Karen, Linda, or Marcia that you will be here. There will also be a sign up sheet for baked goods. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
